WHAT WE DO
We help turn ideas, existing components and project requirements into practical solutions that can be designed, documented, manufactured and delivered.
Clients can engage Heavy Edge Technologies for the complete project or for a specific stage of the process.

STEP 01
START WITH A CONVERSATION
Initial discussions are a chance for us to talk about the project, idea, or problem you're looking to solve. We can connect via phone, video call, online, or face-to-face. This stage is about reviewing your idea, specific project requirements, and desired outcomes. We use this information to determine the practicality and scope of the work before moving forward.

STEP 02
CAPTURE THE REQUIREMENTS
We attend site to collect the critical information required for a successful design outcome. Capturing accurate data at the start of the project ensures the final solution interface is correct and minimizes production rework.
- Site measurements
- Existing component measurements
- Photographs and video
- Client sketches and existing drawings
- Machine and equipment interface information
- 3D scan data
- Operating and service requirements

OBJECTIVE: TO CAPTURE THE DATA NECESSARY FOR PRACTICAL MECHANICAL DESIGN.

STEP 03
DEVELOP THE CONCEPT
REVIEW. REFINE. CONFIRM.
We turn information and requirements into a practical concept. We develop layouts, 3D CAD models, assemblies and visual concepts to clearly communicate how the solution will work.
The concept is developed collaboratively, making sure you are comfortable with the design before moving into detailed manufacturing documentation.
Step 04
DESIGN IT TO BE BUILT

We turn the concept into detailed 3D CAD models and professional manufacturing documentation package designed specifically around the intended manufacturing methodology.
DELIVERABLES
- 3D CAD models & Assembly models
- Manufacturing & Fabrication drawings
- Machining & General Arrangement drawings
- DXF, DWG, STEP & STL file packages
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Dimensional & tolerance documentation
Note: While we design for manufacture, formal legislative engineering analysis or structural certification can be coordinated through our qualified third-party partners where project specifications require.
05. MANUFACTURE
FROM DRAWING TO MANUFACTURE
We assist with turning designs into manufactured product. We can work with your preferred suppliers, or we can assist with quoting and component supply through our network of manufacturing partners. We select the pathway around requirements, quantity, material, cost, lead time and finish.
MACHINING & TURNING
- CNC machining
- CNC turning and milling
- Production machining
- Prototype manufacture

FABRICATION & CUTTING
- Fabrication
- Laser cutting
- Plasma cutting
- Metal casting

PRODUCTION MODES
- 3D printing
- Injection moulding
- Small batch production
- Larger volume manufacturing

STEP 06
THE RIGHT SUPPLIER FOR THE JOB
We assist with RFQs, component sourcing, and identifying local versus overseas manufacturing options to ensure the right fit for your project requirements.
- Supplier RFQs
- Manufacturing quotations
- Supplier comparison
- Component sourcing
- Material sourcing
- Production costing
- Prototype costing
- Local manufacturing options
- Overseas manufacturing options
07. MANUFACTURING SUPPORT
SUPPORT THROUGH PRODUCTION
We offer ongoing support during the manufacturing process to ensure documentation is interpreted correctly and quality requirements are met. We manage drawing revisions and respond to production technical queries as they arise.
DRAWING & REVISION CONTROL
Precise management of drawing releases and updates.
SUPPLIER COMMUNICATION
Clear technical liaison between client and manufacturer.
PRODUCTION QUERIES
Prompt resolution of technical questions from the shop floor.
DESIGN CHANGES
Practical adjustments optimized for manufacturing efficiency.
DIMENSIONAL CHECKS
Verification of critical features against documentation.
DOCUMENTATION REVIEW
Detailed audit of build records and material reports.
COMPONENT VERIFICATION
Ensuring sourced components meet fit and function.
PRE-DELIVERY REVIEW
Final check of documentation sets prior to shipment.
Manufacturing support focused on practical build coordination; formal regulatory compliance review typically managed via qualified partners.
